This is really good pasta sauce!

I've made spaghetti sauce a ba-jillion ways but this is the one that made the family say "This is really good!"
I use it for lasagna and baked Ziti too.
It's a little more involved but the taste is so worth it.

1 lb lean ground beef or turkey
1/2 roll of breakfast sausage~HOT( it won't be very hot in the sauce, just a slight kick)
1/2 Vidalia onion~chopped
olive oil
1/2 C sliced portabellos
1 TBSP minced garlic
1 large jar PREGO original
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp basil
splash of red wine(optional, the alcohol cooks off and it really makes the flavor)

saute beef, sausage, onions, and garlic in olive oil till meat is done and brown.Drain most of the grease off, leave a couple spoon fulls for flavor.
in another skillet saute portabellos in olive oil for 6 min,add to beef mixture.
add remaing ingredients and bring to a slight boil, immediately turn down heat and simmer. The longer the better!

This is thick, rich, and FULL of flavor
